1. Detention Prevention — LUCE!

Volunteer Needs:

  • Trained Verifiers — check if ICE vs. Not ICE. Clarify, Inform, Report, Alert, + Deescalate!
  • Canvassers — share helpful materials with neighbors, observers, houses of worship, + deputize others!
  • Hotline Workers — calls and texts, many languages needed!
  • Materials + Organization — canvassing resource bundles!
2. Community Connection — BIJAN!

About Coffee Connection

The Coffee Connection is part of the weekly Wednesday Bearing Witness events. We offer folks some warm coffee and cocoa, provide an opportunity to connect with us and other organizations, and give everyone a chance to contribute to a good cause.

Each week we feature a different fundraiser and highlight ways to support immigrants - from helping individuals navigate their interactions with ICE, to reining in ICE abuses, to electing leaders who will stand against these cruelties. Look for us at the upcoming Wednesday Bearing Witness events!
